Balloons for birthdays and special celebrations

Balloons can be adapted to the guest of honour’s age, the party colour scheme and the available space. They work well above a table, against a wall, near an entrance or in an area prepared for photographs.

Each balloon measures approximately 66 cm when inflated. This makes the number visible above a birthday table, against a wall or in a photo area. Different digits may vary in width even when they share the same general height.

The number balloons are designed for air inflation. A straw is inserted into the valve, which seals itself after the straw is removed.

Choosing digits for a birthday display

Write down the full number before ordering. An eighteenth-birthday display requires separate 1 and 8 balloons, while the number 20 requires digits 2 and 0.

Distributing confetti inside a balloon

After inflation, gently rub the outside of the balloon with a soft material and carefully rotate it to help the confetti move towards the walls. Do not use sharp objects or squeeze the balloon excessively.

Confetti may settle again when the balloon is moved. This is a normal feature of loose decorative pieces inside the balloon.

If a balloon bursts, collect the confetti and material fragments immediately, especially when children or pets are present.

Red heart-shaped foil balloon

Latex and foil balloons: what is the difference?

How to inflate a foil balloon

1. Place the balloon on a clean, flat surface.
2. Locate the valve near the bottom edge.
3. Gently insert the supplied straw into the valve channel.
4. Add air slowly while watching the balloon’s shape.
5. Stop when it is full but still yields slightly to pressure.
6. Remove the straw carefully.
7. Check that the valve retains the air.

Do not force the straw into the valve, as this may damage the internal seal or foil.

Planning a coordinated balloon display

Begin with a clear theme and a limited palette. Gold numbers and letters can be combined with black, silver, red or transparent confetti balloons. A pink birthday message can lead a softer arrangement.

Divide the display into three areas:

• a main message or age display,
• a lower arrangement around the table,
• a designated photo background.
