Plant supports for pots, beds and greenhouses

Long stems, spreading shoots and heavy flower heads may need additional support as a plant develops. A well-matched frame helps keep growth upright, prevents stems from trailing across the soil and makes the plant easier to arrange and maintain.

Triangular supports for three-sided stability

The DIVODV triangular support uses three legs inserted into the growing medium. Its compact shape surrounds the plant from several sides and helps organise upright growth. Three height options allow the frame to be matched to the available space and expected plant size.

The 120 cm version has 17.5 cm sides and is made from plastic. It can be assembled manually without tools and is intended for ornamental, potted and garden plants, including selected climbers that need guidance as they grow.

Ring supports with adjustable levels

Tall DIVODV ring supports feature three hoops that slide up and down the frame. Their position can be adapted to the plant’s shape and stage of development, placing support where spreading stems need it most.

The 120 cm model has rings measuring 28, 30 and 32 cm in diameter and combines metal with plastic components. The same design is available in 60 and 90 cm versions for shorter plants or more compact growing spaces.

Modular supports for potted plants

A compact modular frame is a practical option for smaller container plants. One available model has up to three circular levels. Each ring measures 19 cm in diameter, a single module is 23 cm high, and the complete structure reaches approximately 63 cm.

The user can install one, two or three sections and add levels as the plant grows. The support is suitable for compatible pots, balcony planters, beds, greenhouses and polytunnels.

The range also includes a 24 cm set consisting of ten ground spikes and ten individual support pieces. These can be combined in different layouts to form full or partial rings around selected plants.

Choosing the right support height

Consider both the current size of the plant and the height it is expected to reach. A frame that is too short may only support the lower growth, while an oversized support may not fit securely inside a compact pot.

A 60 cm frame works well where vertical space is limited. The 90 cm option provides additional guidance for medium-height growth, while a 120 cm support is designed for taller or more spreading plants. For container use, also compare the frame diameter and number of legs with the available soil surface.

When should a plant support be installed?

Installation is usually easier while the plant is still young. New shoots can then be guided gradually through or inside the frame instead of being forced into position after they have become dense and tangled.

Supports can also be fitted around established plants. Insert the legs carefully and away from the main stem, avoiding excessive force that could damage roots. Check that rings and connecting pieces are not trapping leaves, flowers or delicate shoots.

Do stems need to be tied to the frame?

A ring support may hold many spreading stems without additional ties. Long, flexible or heavier shoots may still need to be secured.

At the end of the growing period, remove the support carefully and clean away soil and plant residue. Dry all parts thoroughly before storing them in a dry place.
