Portable shade for the beach and garden

A foldable sun parasol makes it easy to create a shaded sitting area without installing a permanent structure. It can be carried to the beach, used in the garden or positioned beside a suitable seating area on a patio or balcony.

The current range consists of two blue models: a classic beach and garden parasol and a larger 2-in-1 design with extendable side panels. Both products include a carrying case for storage and transport.

Classic sun parasol or 2-in-1 beach shelter?

The classic model has a 170 cm canopy diameter and a maximum height of 205 cm. Its height and canopy angle can be adjusted, allowing the shade position to be changed as the sun moves. It can be placed directly into sand or used with a compatible garden parasol base.

The larger 2-in-1 parasol measures 210 cm across, or 240 cm when measured over the outer curve of the canopy. Its fold-out side sections create a more enclosed shelter similar to a beach tent. It also includes mesh ventilation windows, storage pockets, guy lines and ground pegs.

The classic version is a straightforward choice for portable overhead shade. The 2-in-1 model provides more space and additional side coverage for beach trips, camping and garden use.

Suitable locations for a portable parasol

On the beach, the pole of the classic parasol can be secured in the sand. The larger shelter also includes guy lines and pegs for anchoring its side panels to suitable ground.

When the classic parasol is used on a patio or in the garden, it requires an appropriate base, which is not included. The pole diameter is 2.5 cm, and this measurement should be considered when selecting a holder or base.

For balcony use, check the available floor area as well as the full open-canopy dimensions. The parasol must not obstruct walkways, and it needs a stable anchoring point suitable for the location.

Height and tilt adjustment

Height adjustment helps adapt the parasol to the seating arrangement and available space. The classic 170 cm model also features a tilting canopy, allowing the shade to be redirected without moving the entire base.

The 2-in-1 design uses a telescopic pole and provides a maximum internal height of 200 cm. When the side panels are extended, additional ground area is required beyond the basic canopy diameter.

UV-protective canopy material

Both models use canopy material designed to help reduce exposure to UV radiation. A light-reflective inner layer supports the creation of a shaded resting area on sunny days.

A parasol does not block sunlight approaching from every direction. UV radiation may still reach the user from the sides or reflect from water, sand and nearby surfaces. Sunscreen, protective clothing and a hat remain important during extended outdoor use.

Side panels, ventilation and storage

The 2-in-1 parasol can be used as a conventional canopy or converted into a more enclosed shelter by extending its side panels. This arrangement can provide additional screening during a day at the beach, a camping trip or time spent in the garden.

Openable mesh windows allow air to move through the sheltered area. Side pockets hold small essentials, while the supplied lines and pegs are used to secure the structure to compatible ground.

Understanding parasol measurements

Canopy dimensions may be given in two different ways. The classic model has a straight diameter of 170 cm and measures 200 cm over the outside of its curved canopy. The 2-in-1 version measures 210 cm across and 240 cm over the canopy surface.

Packed size also matters when planning transport and storage. The classic parasol is 115 cm long inside its bag, while the packed 2-in-1 model measures 125 cm.

Anchoring and care

Always secure the parasol before opening it fully. Use a compatible weighted base on a patio or stable garden surface, insert the pole firmly into sand at the beach, and attach the supplied guy lines and pegs when setting up the 2-in-1 model.

Do not leave an open parasol unattended in strong or gusty wind. Fold it down when weather conditions deteriorate. After use, remove sand and dirt, allow the canopy to dry completely and store it in its carrying case.
