Screwdrivers

( number of products: 7 )

Cordless drill drivers combine drilling, screwdriving and reverse operation without a power cable restricting movement. The range includes 12 V, 16.8 V and 21 V models, with brushless motors, hammer-drilling modes and accessory kits available on selected products.

Compare maximum torque, clutch settings, two-speed gearbox ranges, battery capacity and chuck size. Package contents also vary, so check whether the case includes only the machine and batteries or a wider selection of drill bits, driver bits and sockets.

Cordless drill drivers for assembly and drilling

A cordless drill driver can install and remove screws as well as drill holes with a suitable bit. Typical applications include furniture assembly, fitting hinges, installing shelves and carrying out household or workshop repairs.

The current range contains six cordless models with combinations of:

  • 12 V, 16.8 V or 21 V batteries,
  • brushed or brushless motors,
  • standard or hammer-drilling modes,
  • two-speed gearboxes,
  • adjustable torque,
  • forward and reverse rotation,
  • LED work lights,
  • two batteries and a storage case.

Specifications and package contents differ between sets.

Drill driver or electric screwdriver?

An electric screwdriver is mainly intended for driving fasteners. A drill driver also has a chuck for holding drill bits, allowing it to produce holes in compatible materials.

All products currently listed in this category are cordless drill drivers. Their actual drilling capability depends on the machine, selected mode, speed, torque and drill bit.

Choosing between 12 V, 16.8 V and 21 V

The range includes 12 V, 16.8 V and 21 V battery systems. Voltage is only one part of the specification and should not be used as the sole measure of performance.

A compact 12 V model may be convenient for furniture assembly and restricted spaces. Selected 16.8 V and 21 V machines provide up to 50 Nm of torque and hammer drilling. Compare the motor, gearbox, battery capacity and package contents as well.

Batteries with the same voltage marking are not automatically interchangeable. The fitting and electronics must match the specific tool system.

Comparing 28, 30 and 50 Nm of torque

Torque describes the rotational force applied to the fastener or drill bit. Current models include maximum ratings of 28, 30 and 50 Nm.

The 12 V model provides 28 Nm with an 18+1 clutch. One 21 V set is rated at approximately 30 Nm, while selected brushless models reach 50 Nm.

Higher torque can help with larger fasteners, but lower clutch settings are important when working with small screws or delicate surfaces. Correct adjustment reduces the risk of overdriving a screw.

How a two-speed gearbox works

The first gear provides lower speed and more control for driving or removing screws. The second gear is intended for faster drilling.

Verified models provide approximately 400–600 rpm in first gear and 1300–1500 rpm in second gear. Trigger pressure gives additional speed control.

Change gear only after the chuck has stopped completely.

Brushed and brushless motors

The category contains both brushed and brushless tools. A brushless motor does not use conventional carbon brushes, reducing the number of brush-related wear components.

Motor type should still be considered alongside torque, batteries, chuck size, hammer mode and supplied accessories.

When is hammer mode useful?

Hammer drilling assists with holes in compatible masonry when the correct drill bit is fitted. It should not be used for screwdriving or normal drilling in wood, metal or plastic.

A hammer drill driver is not the same as an SDS rotary hammer. More demanding concrete work may require a different type of machine.

Keyless 10 mm chucks

The verified machines use keyless chucks accepting accessories up to approximately 10 mm. One model has a specified range of 0.8–10 mm.

The chuck can be tightened by hand without a separate key. Make sure the bit is centred and securely clamped before starting.

Battery capacities and kit contents

Every current set contains two lithium-ion batteries. Available combinations include:

  • two 12 V 2.0 Ah batteries,
  • two 16.8 V 1.5 Ah batteries,
  • two 21 V batteries with capacities of 1.5 or 3.0 Ah.

Runtime depends on the selected gear, material and load. Always use the charger intended for the specific battery.

Basic cases contain the drill driver, two batteries and charger. Expanded sets may also include drill bits, driver bits, sockets, adapters, extensions, screwdrivers and measuring accessories.

Choosing bits and drill accessories

A driver bit must match both the profile and size of the screw head. A loose or incorrect bit may slip and damage the fastener.

Select drill bits according to the material and required hole diameter. Confirm that the shank fits the chuck and that the accessory is suitable for the selected operating mode.

Flexible bit extensions provide access inside furniture or around corners. Use them within the limits stated in their instructions.

Safe operation

Remove the battery or engage the trigger lock before changing accessories. Secure loose workpieces and check the drilling location for hidden utilities.

Wear eye protection, keep hands away from rotating parts and do not change gear or direction while the chuck is moving. Never use a cracked, deformed or overheated battery.

FAQ – Frequently Asked Questions

Which drill driver is suitable for furniture assembly?

Look for adjustable torque, forward and reverse rotation and a controllable first gear. A compact 12 V model may be easier to use inside cabinets.

Do all current sets include two batteries?

Yes. All models currently listed in the category include two batteries, although their voltage and capacity vary.

Does every drill driver have hammer mode?

No. Hammer drilling is available on selected models. Check the individual title and specification.

What does an 18+1 or 25+1 clutch mean?

The numbered positions regulate driving torque, while the additional setting is used for drilling. Follow the model instructions when selecting a position.

Will any 21 V battery fit any 21 V tool?

No. The physical connection, electronics and battery system must also be compatible.

Can a drill driver be used in concrete?

Selected models offer hammer drilling, but capability depends on the machine, drill bit and concrete. Demanding work may require an SDS rotary hammer.

How do I select the correct driver bit?

Match both the bit profile and size to the screw recess. It should fit securely without noticeable movement.

Does every case include drill and driver bits?

No. Some cases contain only the tool, batteries and charger, while expanded sets include drills, bits, sockets and hand tools.
